Meet the Optometrists, Physiotherapist & Eye Care Team at Parkhurst and Co

Neil Parkhurst is an experienced optometrist and co-owner of Parkhurst Opticians. Originally starting his career in construction, he soon followed his passion for eyecare, qualifying as both a dispensing optician and later an optometrist. Known for his clinical expertise and dedication to patient care, Neil is highly respected within the profession.
Outside of work, he enjoys sailing and spending time with his wife Alison and their two grown-up children.

Ian Parkhurst is an experienced optometrist and co-owner of Parkhurst Opticians. Known for his clinical expertise and friendly approach, he is dedicated to delivering the highest standards of eyecare. Outside of work, Ian enjoys sailing, motorhoming, and spending time with his family.

Emma Parkhurst-Tubby is an experienced optometrist and co-owner of Parkhurst Opticians, with a passion for delivering personalised, high-quality eyecare. After qualifying as both a dispensing optician and later an optometrist, she quickly established herself as a trusted practitioner known for her clinical expertise and patient-focused approach. Outside of work, Emma enjoys family life with her husband Craig and their son, and she is a keen hockey and pickleball player, as well as an active member of her local community.

Esther is a passionate physiotherapist with experience across critical care, orthopaedics, rehabilitation, and private MSK practice. She has a special interest in women’s health and is fully trained in the Mummy MOT®, supporting women with postnatal recovery at any stage. Esther takes a supportive, down-to-earth approach, creating tailored plans to help people recover, move, and feel their best.

Martin has been a qualified dispensing optician since 2011, known for his precision and attention to detail. Outside of optics, he enjoys classic cars, caravan trips with his family, and cooking. His passion for quality and care runs through both his professional and personal life.

Luke is a qualified Dispensing Optician at Parkhurst and Co, bringing a strong focus on patient care and personalised service. He is dedicated to helping patients find the right eyewear and lens solutions to suit their vision needs and lifestyle, ensuring comfort, confidence and clear vision.
Luke is passionate about providing friendly, professional support throughout the patient journey and continues to develop his knowledge in optics and lens technology as part of the Parkhurst and Co team.
Outside of work, Luke enjoys fitness, outdoor activities and spending time with his family and pets.

With over 38 years of experience in optics, Karen brings a wealth of knowledge and trusted expertise to the team. Away from work, she loves spending time with her granddaughter, relaxing with her bulldog, and enjoying caravan trips and time to unwind.

With over 30 years of experience in optics, Rowena is a highly skilled and knowledgeable member of the team. Family is at the heart of her life, and she is a proud mother and grandmother. Outside of work, Rowena enjoys cooking, walking her dog, and supporting animal welfare causes.

With over 30 years of experience in optics, Carolyn has spent the last 24 years as a valued member of Parkhurst Opticians. She holds multiple NVQs and is known for her warm, supportive approach with both colleagues and patients. Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her three grandsons, as well as walking, gardening, and cooking.

Sarah has been a valued member of Parkhurst Opticians for over 20 years, bringing experience and dedication to her role. Outside of work, she enjoys family time, walking her dog, swimming, and reading. Her caring nature and commitment make her a much-loved member of the team.

​Donna has been part of Parkhurst Opticians for 20 years, bringing both experience and dedication to her role. She holds a BA (Hons) degree and completed the Worshipful Spectacle Makers course in optical support. Away from work, Donna enjoys family life with her teenage child and dog, has a love of true crime documentaries, and once even kept three snakes – including a 15-foot boa constrictor named Mr Chewy.

Lauren brings resilience, warmth, and dedication to her role at Parkhurst Opticians. A proud mum of four, she balances family life with her love of video gaming, anime, and fitness. She also enjoys afternoon tea with friends and family, cherishing the simple moments that bring people together.

Natasha brings energy and enthusiasm to the Parkhurst Opticians team. Away from work, she enjoys music – especially Billy Ocean – and has a passion for British truck racing. She also loves exploring new cities, diamond art painting, and spending quality time with her husband.

Alex

Caitlin joined Parkhurst and Co in January 2026 as a Dispensing Assistant at our Bentley practice. She is often the friendly voice patients hear on the phone and plays an important role in supporting the team behind the scenes to keep the practice running smoothly.

Before moving into optics, Caitlin worked as a Healthcare Assistant at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, where she gained valuable experience caring for patients in a busy clinical setting. Her healthcare background brings a calm, caring approach and a real understanding of how important reassurance and clear communication are in patient care.

She is enjoying learning more about eyewear and eye care, and we’re delighted to have her as part of the Bentley team.
